Production Journey

Production Journey

During the production stage of my project, I practiced using different audio recording softwares, one of which was Audacity, but i leant onto Garageband which was a lot easier to understand and came out with better audio quality than the windows equivalent. As I practiced and understood the program more the easier it was to record all the audio for the radio drama. Garageband allows me to change how the audio sounds, after it has been recorded, so that tweaks can be made to it, whether it is too loud or too quiet, or too much background noise by suppressing it

After the recording stage of my production I used Final Cut Pro which is one of the most common editing softwares used on a Mac OS system. This was pretty easy to understand, overall how to use. How to cut, move and split clips. Final Cut Pro helped me put all my clips together. I added all the clips that I had recorded on Garageband, but to make my radio drama more realistic, i added wild tracks and sound effects to make the narrative more entertaining for the listeners, as they would only be listening to the voices and that's it. Which would imminently make them not want to listen it the radio drama.

This stage was the recording stage of my production journey. This is how i gained all the audio clips for my radio drama. I used the recording studio to record all my audio, as it was
the quiet room with Mac OS systems where Garageband can be accessed. I got all my actors during separate times to record their lines. I used Garageband to record the audio and save it. I then saved these audios as MP3s to the distribute to Final Cut Pro, so that I could edit the clips into my first draft.
